In early 1988, Doug was invited to join the Rotary Club of Pembroke Pines, Florida.  During his tenure in the Club he held numerous leadership positions including that of Club President for 1991-1992.  He was named the Club’s Rotarian of the Year for 1989-1990 and was presented the Four-Way Test Award for 1992-1993 for his humanitarian service.

Doug joined the Rotary Club of Weston in 1994.  He has served in multiple leadership roles including those of Club Secretary (1997-1998) and Club President (1999-2000).  He was chosen to be the Club’s Rotarian of the Year for 1994-1995 and also for 2005-2006.

He has been active on the District level as well, having been an Assistant Governor for three years.  In addition, he has served as District Secretary, Aide to the Governor, District Foundation Annual Giving Chair, and twice Chair of the District Conference. Doug has also served as the District Chief of Staff and has twice chaired both the Foundation Major & Planned Gifts Committee as well as the Continuity & Governance Committee, while also serving on other District Committees.  He was selected as the District Rotarian of the Year for 2004-2005.
